Safety and operational protocols

Our guests safety is the first principle of every expedition. We operate within the Panama Canal with protocols designed for families, beginners and private groups, without compromising adventure or the natural environment.

On the water

Navigation and water activities

• Certified life jackets in all sizes, mandatory on every boat and kayak.
• Stable, wide-surface kayaks, ideal for beginners and children.
• Captains and guides experienced navigating Gatun Lake and the Panama Canal.
• Constant weather monitoring; routes adjust in adverse conditions.
• Onboard communication equipment and active emergency protocol.

In the jungle

Trails and wildlife watching

• Small groups with a certified local guide on every expedition.
• First-aid kit on every outing and at the lodge.
• Marked 2–3 km trails with prior assessment of the group level.
• Strict respect for wildlife: animals are not fed or touched.

Conditions

Booking conditions

Reservations are confirmed after our team verifies availability. Wildlife is observed in its natural habitat and may vary by day; weather or wildlife conditions may require route changes for safety. Minors participate under the responsibility of an accompanying adult.

Cancellations

Cancellations and refunds

Cancellations made at least 48 hours in advance are refundable according to the policy applicable to each experience. Last-minute cancellations or no-shows may not be refundable. Specific terms are delivered with each reservation confirmation.

Responsibility

Traveler responsibility

The traveler declares to be in adequate physical condition for the chosen activity and to follow the guide instructions. Jungle Land Panama is not liable for accidents arising from failure to follow safety instructions or undeclared medical information.
