I spent two nights at the resort and I had a fantastic time. The boat ride up the canal to get to the resort was great. You really appreciate the size of some of those cargo ships. Each night we went out in the dark on one of the resorts many boats and look for animals. It was great fun and Luis even brought a couple of the small crocodiles (3 foot long) on to the boat for us to see. We also did some hiking, swimming, fishing, and kayaking while we were there. We also spent some time in the hammocks relaxing
The food was great and the company of Luis and Captain was enjoyable. Luis really took great care of us
We were only in Panama for a few days so jungle land allowed to pack in a lot in a short time. Canal cruise, monkey island, kayaking and fishing. All a great lunch on the floating house followed by a siesta in a hammock overlooking the water. Turn off your gadgets and enjoy nature.
Captain Carl is a great host.
We'll be back.
Experience of a lifetime
I can't begin to say enough about our time at the lodge. We stayed for two nights in a wonderfully set up room with a private bathroom and balcony, with a king bed and two hanging single beds for the kids.
We all fed monkeys that came right onto the tour boat, our son held a baby crocodile that our guide caught on the night tour, listened to howler monkeys as we fell asleep, we kayaked to two different waterfalls, hiked through the jungle at 7am, watched giant ships cross the canal, and caught fish at dusk...If you have the time, stay for a night or two. Literally the experience of our life.
